Features
Tested in the US to Meet or Exceed Weight Rating
This carrier has been tested at a testing facility in the United States, and was found to meet or exceed the manufacturer's recommended maximum load rating.
Three-position, 59.125" bi-fold loading ramp facilitates getting device on and off carrier
With three positions (fully extended, folded in half vertically when carrier is in use, and folded in half horizontally for storage), the extra-long loading ramp of the deluxe carrier allows you to load at a lesser incline without the inconvenience of handling and storing a straight, non-folding ramp.
Carrier folds up against vehicle when not in use
When the carrier is empty, it can be folded up against the vehicle for parking either at your residence or while out and about. It allows you to reduce your footprint to save space.
Powder-coated steel construction for long-lasting durability
With a 500 lb. capacity, this steel carrier is powder-coated for durable repeated use in all elements year-round.

More Information
This deluxe scooter, wheelchair, or power chair carrier has all the features you need for safe and efficient transportation of your mobility aid. Made from black powder-coated steel, this carrier holds up to 500 lbs. and is easy to handle.
The surface of the carrier is a heavy duty steel mesh with 1" square support tubes underneath that won't bend or flex from the weight of your mobility aid. This deluxe carrier features an extra-long 59" bi-fold ramp. The ramp releases for loading by pulling the carrier's unique ergonomically designed T-shaped handles. The ramp easily stows either in its upright position or can be folded flat into the carrier for better visibility and compact storage when the carrier is not in use.
The Silver Spring Deluxe Wheelchair and Scooter carrier has other great features that you won't find elsewhere. When the carrier is not in use it can be conveniently folded up vertically against the back of the vehicle by releasing one pin on the side of the carrier. This makes it safer to drive your vehicle and parking either outdoors or in your garage easier. The optional swing-away accessory allows for easy access to the rear of your vehicle or spare tire.

Usage Guidelines
Please note, hitch-mounted mobility carriers are not recommended for use on tow-behind trailers including 5th wheel and camping trailers, motor-homes or RVs. Never exceed the maximum tongue rating of your trailer hitch and be aware that your hauling weight may be limited by your vehicle's suspension. Some vehicles may require air shocks or heavier springs to stiffen up the suspension and prevent sagging. Not recommended for use with hitch adapters/extensions. Not designed to carry scooter or wheelchair while occupied. Maximum scooter or wheelchair width of 26.5".
