Silver Spring Clearway 13' Side or Straight Entry Ramp with 4' Top Platform
Key Features:
- Made in the USA
- 1,000 lb. Weight capacity; modular ramp package includes all components and accommodates slopes ranging from 1:6 to 1:14
- Non-slip surface for maximum performance in wet conditions
Configurable kits allow you to create exactly what you need
Because of the simple design, each ramp and platform can be moved or repositioned to create any number of configurations. The handrails are engineered to install in such a way that you can set up a straight, left or right entryway to your ramp. You can also install it without a platform, install it with one less ramp and more. It’s all possible with the configurability of the Silver Spring Modular Ramp System.
Ships with all the pieces - No additional ordering required
Unlike other manufacturers that require you to order multiple parts and hardware to customize your ramp, our Silver Spring system ships with every piece you need to install the ramp you need.
Height adjustable to create slopes from 1:6 up to 1:36
Set the height of each leg to exactly the slop requirements you need to safely get in and out of your home. Short on space? Set a slope height of 1:6 (6” of ramp for every 1” rise), to make the most of your space while still maintaining accessibility. Need a more gentle slope and have the space? This system can be built with up to 1:14 slope (14” of ramp for every 1” rise), which is gentler than the ADA compliant slope of 1:12.
Lower ramp plate creates smooth ground-to-ramp transition
The extended aluminum plate ensures that wheels move between the ramp and the ground without jarring bumps or jolts.
Extruded aluminum design with non-slip surface
Aluminum stays rust-free over time for a convenient low maintenance solution to your accessibility needs. The extruded surface has grooves that catch moisture and add traction for shoes or wheels.
FAQs
How long should my wheelchair ramp be?
That depends on how high your step, or steps are. For ADA compliance, there should be one foot of ramp for every inch of height (also called rise). For more information, read How to Determine Wheelchair Ramp Length.
Are modular ramps permanent?
Modular ramps are considered to be semi-permanent. They provide all the benefits of a permanent structure, such as a concrete ramp, however they do not alter your property and can be removed if needed due to how they’re constructed.
Can I move a modular ramp later?
Yes, modular ramps are designed to be easy to move and reconfigure because they are usually bolted together rather than permanently installed with concrete. The term “modular” is used to illustrate that the pieces can be used in multiple layouts.
Do modular ramps require concrete?
Unlike a deck, modular ramps do not require concrete footings. They are engineered to be surface mounted, which also means they don’t typically require permits for installation.
How much weight can a modular ramp hold?
Due to their longer length, modular ramps are usually rated for up to 1,000 lbs. with the understanding that multiple people may be using the ramp at one time with their mobility device(s). Confirm with us if the weight capacity is unclear or you have questions.
Can I install it myself?
Modular ramps are designed to be installable by the purchaser (or their friends/family), however some customers prefer to pay to have a professional install the ramp for them.
How long does installation take?
Installation times vary; it depends on what ramp length and model you purchased, and how easy the assembly is on that model. Some ramp section might require bolting together, some might slip into brackets. It really depends on the ramp.
Are handrails included?
Typically, the longer length of modular ramps necessities that handrails be included for safety. If you have any questions about whether or not a ramp comes with handrails, please call us and we would be happy to find that answer for you.
Overview
Built for easy setup, the Silver Spring Clearway Modular Ramp System ships rapidly and assembles with fewer tools than other modular systems. Manufactured in the United States from high-strength, lightweight aluminum that will never rust or require painting, it includes everything you need for installation straight out of the box. Use it to overcome rises with a slope range from 1:6 to 1:14, perfect for home entryways and similar residential applications.
This ramp system includes one 4'x4' platform, one 6' ramp, one 4' ramp, one 3' ramp, and accompanying handrails. During assembly, the handrails set up to accommodate a straight, left or right-side entry to the ramp. It supports up to 1,000 lbs., making it a sturdy choice for full-size scooters and/or bariatric use. The extruded tread surface features raised ribs that grip soles and tires with exceptional slip resistance.
The 4'x4' platform connects to the ramp with a tongue-and-groove design that requires minimal hardware to install. Durable plastic square feet (each 7.25" x 7.25") feature two pre-drilled holes for easy mounting to any surface type (mounting hardware not included). The bottom plate moves freely to accommodate uneven surfaces and creates a smooth ground-to-ramp transition.
