Ships with all the pieces - No additional ordering required
Unlike other manufacturers that require you to order multiple parts and hardware to customize your ramp, our Silver Spring system ships with every piece you need to install the ramp you need.
Height adjustable to create slopes from 1:6 up to 1:57
Set the height of each leg to exactly the slop requirements you need to safely get in and out of your home. Short on space? Set a slope height of 1:6 (6” of ramp for every 1” rise), to make the most of your space while still maintaining accessibility. Need a more gentle slope and have the space? This system can be built with up to 1:14 slope (14” of ramp for every 1” rise), which is gentler than the ADA compliant slope of 1:12.
Lower ramp plate creates smooth ground-to-ramp transition
The extended aluminum plate ensures that wheels move between the ramp and the ground without jarring bumps or jolts.
Extruded aluminum design with non-slip surface
Aluminum stays rust-free over time for a convenient low maintenance solution to your accessibility needs. The extruded surface has grooves that catch moisture and add traction for shoes or wheels.
How long should my wheelchair ramp be? For ADA compliance, there should be one foot of ramp for every inch of height (or rise).
Are modular ramps permanent? They are semi-permanent, with all the benefits of a permanent structure without altering your property.
Can I move a modular ramp later? Yes, they are freestanding and can be moved or reconfigured later on if needs change.
Do modular ramps require concrete? Unlike a deck, modular ramps do not require concrete footings or permits (in most cases).
How much weight can a modular ramp hold? Modular ramps are usually rated for up to 1,000 lbs. with the understanding that multiple people may be using the ramp at one time with their mobility device(s).
Can I install it myself? Most are installable by one person, however some prefer to pay to have a professional install the ramp for them.
How long does installation take? Installation times vary; it depends on what ramp length and model you purchased, and how easy the assembly is on that model.
Are handrails included? Typically, the longer length of modular ramps necessities that handrails be included for safety.
Overview
Built for easy setup, the Silver Spring Clearway Modular Ramp System ships rapidly and assembles with fewer tools than other modular systems. Manufactured in the United States from high-strength, lightweight aluminum that will never rust or require painting, it includes everything you need for installation straight out of the box. Use it to overcome rises with a slope range from 1:6 to 1:14, perfect for home entryways and similar residential applications.
This ramp system includes one 4'x4' platform, two 6' ramps, one 4' ramp, and accompanying handrails. During assembly, the handrails set up to accommodate a straight, left or right-side entry to the ramp. It supports up to 1,000 lbs., making it a sturdy choice for full-size scooters and/or bariatric use. The extruded tread surface features raised ribs that grip soles and tires with exceptional slip resistance.
The 4'x4' platform connects to the ramp with a tongue-and-groove design that requires minimal hardware to install. Durable plastic square feet (each 7.25” x 7.25”) feature two pre-drilled holes for easy mounting to any surface type (mounting hardware not included). The bottom plate moves freely to accommodate uneven surfaces and creates a smooth ground-to-ramp transition.
